Sustainable and diversified agriculture that contributes to
dynamic region development of the Outaouais.
ASSIGNMENT
Propelling entrepreneurship and the diversification of sustainable agrifood sectors on a human scale in the Outaouais through the establishment of thematic platforms by territory.
CONTEXT
​
Since 2010, the CREDÉTAO has managed the Ange-Gardien agricultural platform which offers a "ready-to-use" organic market gardening incubation site for the next generation of farmers. This has been a great success and has welcomed 40 companies and 70 entrepreneurs since its beginnings.
Rich in it's enthusiasm and following requests from the community, in 2020, the CREDÉTAO undertook a study of opportunities aimed at identifying promising themes to develop three new platforms.Local committees made up of elected officials, producers and various agricultural advisors therefore determined the theme for the platform in their territory. This was the beginning of RésOterres.
ELEMENTS AND GOALS

ResOterres comes in 2 parts:
INCUBATION and ACCELERATION of businesses.

Offer access to plots in fields, greenhouses, pastures, forests and productive plants.

Help and support platform entrepreneurs in collaboration with numerous stakeholders/advisors in the sector (e.g.: MRC, SADC, MAPAQ). We will be a team to support and to maximize the chances of success in establishing themselves sustainably.
AREAS OF INTERVENTION

Our areas of interventionhent both agricultural succession and established entrepreneurs:

Of the infrastructure accessible structures and equipment (cold rooms, freezerurs, harvester helpers, etc.)

Of the training practices offered locally on each site. (Future)

From the research and development performed in collaboration with several recognized institutions (in progress) such as the University of Quebec en Outaouais.
PARTICULARITIES OF THE PLATFORMS
​
The Papineau agroforestry platform offers a mushroom cultivation demonstration site and rental of facilities "ready-to-use" for the production of mushrooms in addition to field plots in an intercropping agroforestry system. This site stands out for its eligibility for innovative agricultural projects and offers test spaces.

The Collines-de-l’Outaouais organic market gardening platform continues its objective of offering the opportunity to start your business on a "ready-to-use" certified organic site as it has done for more than forty entrepreneurs since 2010.
​
The Pontiac livestock platform offers rental in an intensive rotational grazing system aimed at soil regeneration.
